Product Notes

Château Viranel Aromes Sauvages is a delightful blend of Syrah and Grenache Noir, grown in the stunning Languedoc region of Southern France. This bold and fruity red wine is a true reflection of the terroir, with its rich minerality, spice and wild herb aromas. Handpicked by expert winegrowers, the grapes are meticulously sorted and vinified under strict quality control conditions. The resulting wine is complex yet balanced, with a smooth palate and a long, satisfying finish. With its deep ruby colour and intense bouquet, Château Viranel Aromes Sauvages is the perfect accompaniment to hearty dishes, grilled meats and rich sauces.

Tasting Notes

Atramentaire colour, picture of the power of the boar. The first nose, gushes from the label... pepper, black fruit and ripe crushed thyme, fennel, toasted pinion. A musky smell a little reminder ... "Wild Flavors". Finally to the palate what a surprise! The attack is soft and fleshy. It is not heavy, the tannins are still young but full of promise. Dark chocolate, mocha and graphite empyreumatic aromas and spices involved in sensual pleasures. Decant largely to open this wine even more promising and beautifully unconventional. Finally, a boar and a rabbit... just have fun and enjoy ! It can be easily forgotten 5-7 years under good conditions of ageing.

About the Winery

Château Viranel

This estate, in the heart of the Saint-Chinian appellation, has been in the Bergasse family since the 16th Century. Two highly energetic and capable brothers Nicholas and Arnaud Bergasse, have now taken over full control of the winery from their father and have created an outstanding range of wines, taking this prestigious estate to a new level. The vineyards are situated on the limestone hills and ancient terraces overlooking the Vallée de l’Orb. Here the hot Mediterranean climate is tempered by the north wind – the Tramontane - from the mountains of the Cévennes. Cool nights help Viranel’s grapes ripen gently.
