Product Notes

Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG is a distinctive wine produced in the southern part of Sicily, specifically in the Vittoria region. The wine is made by blending two grape varieties – the indigenous Nero d'Avola and the lighter Frappato. This results in a beautifully balanced wine with a vibrant pink color and seductive aromas of berries, cherries, and flowers. On the palate, COS Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG is medium-bodied with excellent acidity and soft tannins, displaying flavors of juicy red fruits, spices, and a subtle earthy note. It has a long, lingering finish that pairs well with red meats, grilled vegetables, and aged cheeses. This wine is a must-try for those seeking a premium Sicilian experience.

About the Winery

COS

The Sicilian wine brand of Cos Wines was launched in 1980 by three expert winemakers – Giambattista Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti and Cirino Strano. The name, Cos, is the acronym of the first letters of their surnames. Every bottle of wine created by COS Wines is a true representation of the culture and tradition that the company stands for. Let’s take a look at 11 of their popular wines here:
