Product Notes

Domaine Tollot-Beaut Chorey-Lès-Beaune is a red wine produced in the Burgundy region of France. Made using sustainable farming practices, this wine is a blend of Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Chorey-Lès-Beaune vineyard. With hints of black cherry, raspberry and spices, this wine is known for its smooth and elegant taste, making it a perfect pairing for a wide range of dishes. The grapes are carefully harvested and hand sorted to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used in the fermentation process. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months, Domaine Tollot-Beaut Chorey-Lès-Beaune is a classic example of Burgundy wine and is highly sought after by both collectors and wine enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes

In the glass, the wine is a bright ruby red. The nose is expressive, with aromas of red cherries and floral notes. The palate is lean with racy acidity and fine, velvety tannins.

About the Winery

Domaine Tollot-Beaut

Established in 1880 in the ancient and the heritage-rich French town of Chorey-Les-Beaune, the Domaine Tollot Beaut is a family-owned wine estate. It was established by Francois Tollot, and is currently managed by the fifth generation of the Tollot family members. When this company began the process of bottling wines in 1921, it became one of the first companies in the Cote’d’Or regions to do so.

The grapes for their premium quality of wines are grown on 24 hectares of diverse soils that are spread across four communes in this region. They are Chorey-Les-Beaune, Savigny-Les-Beaune, Beaune and Aloxe Carton. Out of these the Chorey-Les-Beaune is the largest of all the four communes. Apart from these, the family owns one hectare of Corton Bressandes Grand Crus, from where the best wines are made.

Each of these communes is known for producing a distinct quality of fruits based on the soil texture and climatic conditions of that particular place. For example, the fruits produced at Chorey-Les-Beaune are known for their rich acidity and intensity. They are known for their silky tannin finishes as well. However, the grapes cultivated at Aloxe Carton are known for their structured tannins.

At the Grand Cru vineyards, the grapes have a high degree of concentrated flavours that sets it apart from the other types of grapes. The taste of red berries and other spices is definitely unmissable in these fruits. The Pinot Noirs are treated with a lot of care and precision in the cellars to give the right character to the wines.

20% new oak barrels are used for ageing the regional wines while 50% new oak barrels are used for the special Grand Crus. This helps to retain the original flavour and aroma of the fruits till the last stage. The best part of this family’s cellars is that it is way cooler than some of the best cellars you may find in Burgundy.
