Product Notes

Groot Constantia Pinotage is a red wine made from the Pinotage grape, a unique cultivar of South Africa. It has dark ruby color and aromas of ripe dark berries mixed with hints of spicy wood. On the palate, it is wonderfully complex and well-rounded, featuring flavors of raspberries, cherries, and plums, with a hint of vanilla and smokiness. This wine is full-bodied with firm tannins and balanced acidity, making it perfect to pair with grilled meat dishes or hearty stews. Groot Constantia Pinotage has a long and smooth finish, leaving a lasting impression of dark fruit and spices. It is a wine that is sure to impress any connoisseur.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of strawberry and ripe plum dominate the nose of the 2019 Pinotage, while careful use of French oak adds layers of delicate vanilla complexity. The ripe red fruit and sweet vanilla continue on the silky palate, which is elegant with fine tannin structure and a long finish.
