Product Notes

Kelley Fox Wines is a family-owned winery in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. The Mirabai Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard wine that showcases the true essence of the Pinot Noir grape. The wine is derived from the renowned Momtazi Vineyard, known for its biodynamic and organic farming practices. The aromas of ripe fruit, dark cherries, and earthy undertones are predominant upon the first sip. The wine's supple and velvety texture gives way to a long and smooth finish. The Mirabai Pinot Noir is an excellent representation of the Willamette Valley's terroir, demonstrating the region's perfect environment for growing Pinot Noir grapes. This wine is perfect with roasted meats, game birds, and hearty vegetarian dishes.

About the Winery

Kelley Fox Wines

Kelley Fox is one of the newest wineries created in Oregon. Established in 2007, this brand started off with producing only 100 cases. Within a decade, it has grown big enough to produce close to 3000 cases. The wines under this label are made from grapes grown in reputed and historic regions such as Maresh Vineyards, Momtazi Vineyard, Hyland, Freedom Hill Vineyard, Weber and Durrant Vineyard.

Maresh Vineyards

Located in the Dundee Hills, the first vines were planted here during 1970. The vines are located at an average altitude of about 500 to 700 feet. The pinot noir grapes grown here have a distinct texture because of the high quality of the Jory soil found in this region.

Thanks to the amazing history, natural extravaganza and the potential to produce intense fruits, the Maresh Vineyards are very popular in the Willamette Valley. Many winemakers source grapes from these vineyards for creating wines under their labels.

Momtazi Vineyards

This is a Demeter-certified biodynamic vineyard located in the foothills of McMinnville. This place is replete with common and rare species of flora and fauna such as wild turkeys, goldfishes, herons, ducks, etc. The fruits grown here have a distinct mineral content.

Freedom Hill Vineyards

Known for its marine sedimentary soil, the Freedom Hill Vineyards are located in the Oregon Coast Range at the backdrop of the Eola Hills. The first vines were planted here during 1982. Pinot Blanc is the flagship fruit grown here. You will also find an abundant variety of Pinot Noir vines here. The average altitude of the vines here is in the range between 350 and 600 feet.

Since the year 2018, the Kelley Fox wines are being created in the winery of ADEA Wine Company. Kelley Fox and her team use only natural winemaking techniques to create the wines, as a result of which no additives or preservatives are used in the fermentation process.
