Product Notes

Miguel Torres Cordillera Carmenére is a red wine that hails from Chile and is produced by the Torres winery. The wine is made using 100% Carmenére grapes, which have been carefully selected from the Cordillera de la Costa region.

Upon pouring this wine into a glass, one can immediately notice its intense ruby color with hints of purple. The aroma reveals a bouquet of black fruits, such as blackberry and blueberry, with a touch of spices and hints of chocolate.

On the palate, Miguel Torres Cordillera Carmenére is smooth and well-structured, with a good balance between the tannins and acidity. Its finish is long and persistent, leaving a sense of freshness and elegance.

This wine is an excellent choice for pairing with meat dishes, particularly red meats and stews, or for savoring alone as a way to unwind after a long day.

Tasting Notes

Great depth of color. The nose offers a splendid and potent expression of the character of Carménère (forest fruit, eucalyptus, and leather), with toasty notes of bay leaf and clove, as well as licorice and black pepper. A big, mouthfilling palate with round tannins. Aromas of toasted bread and spices on retronasal, culminating in a long finish.

About the Winery

Miguel Torres

Miguel Torres, a family-owned wine estate in Chile, has been in business for 30 years. Established in 1979, this company has been producing wines with utmost respect for the environment and terroirs where its grapes are grown. Miguel Torres was originally from Spain, but when he arrived at the Curico Valley in Chile in 1979, he knew that he had to start his winemaking business from there, because of the excellent soil quality and climate conditions of the location.

Currently, Miguel Torres and his team, have been focusing on making organic wines and have also got the Fair Trade Certification for the fair winemaking principles followed at the estate. Miguel Torres wines are made from grapes cultivated across some of the best wine regions in Chile such as the following:
