About Revancha Vinos
Located in the rich, wine-producing area, Mendoza of Argentina, Revancha Vinos is a brand created by Roberto De La Mota, son of the most reputed winemaker in Argentina, Don Raul De La Mota. Roberto’s childhood was spent in the winery and he knew the techniques of winemaking like the back of his hand, but that didn’t mean it was easy for him to create his own brand.
Roberto went on to complete his education in France, the home of premium wines and he also directed one of the most reputed wineries there, before he was convinced to start his own winery, Revancha. Today, Revancha signifies years of experience, expertise, passion and unparalleled terroir, which justify the premium wines that keep coming up from this brand year after year.
In the year 2009, his son, Rodrigo De La Mota, also joined the family business to create unique blends and introduce modern winemaking methods to create premium quality wines. He followed the footsteps of his father and grandfather to create an excellent quality of wines that earned international fame and recognition.
The grapes for Revancha Wines come from two vineyards – Altamira and Perdriel. Altamira, located at the height of around 1040m above sea level, is located in Valle de Uco, quite close to the majestic Andes mountain range. You can find alluvial, sandy, loamy and stony soil here, which makes it extremely possible to cultivate the exceptional quality of grape varietals with full flavours and character. While the summers are mild, the winters are extremely cold here.
Located at Lujan de Cuyo, the Perdriel vineyard is located at the height of 1050m above sea level. It is situated at the foothills of the Andes mountain range and the soil quality here is of different types such as alluvial, sandy, sandy-loamy, clayey and stony. The summers are warm while the winters are quite cold here.
