Product Notes

Thelema Chardonnay is a premium, full-bodied white wine known for its crisp, refreshing taste and subtle oak hints. Grown in the Stellenbosch region of South Africa, the Chardonnay grapes are carefully handpicked and fermented in French oak barrels. The result is a wine with a bright, golden color and notes of citrus, lemon zest, and butterscotch. On the palate, Thelema Chardonnay is rich and complex, with a creamy texture and a zesty acidity. It pairs perfectly with grilled seafood, roasted chicken, or creamy pasta dishes. A bottle of Thelema Chardonnay is perfect for a special occasion or as a treat for wine enthusiasts.

About the Winery

Thelema

The family-owned Thelema Mountain Vineyards are located in the highly wine-rich area of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Thelema wines and Sutherland wines are created from the grapes produced at these vineyards. The Thelema vineyards are located towards the south east of Simonsberg Mountain at an altitude of about 530m above sea level. This altitude enables in growing high quality and premium grapes.

Cabernet Sauvignon is the main grape varietal found here.  It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the quality of this grape varietal has put the Stellenbosch area on the international platform. The first wine under the Thelema label was released during 1988 and became an instant sell-out within a month. The area in and around Thelema is so rich in beauty and natural resources that it is considered as one of the most beautiful places on earth by wine experts.
