Product Notes

Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay is a classic, full-bodied white wine made with 100% Chardonnay grapes from the Gimblett Gravels winegrowing district in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. With a distinct complexity and elegance, this wine is fermented in oak barrels and aged on its lees for ten months, giving it a rich, creamy texture. On the nose, it's full of white peach, nectarine, and citrus flavors, while on the palate, it has notes of vanilla, honey, and lemon zest. Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay pairs perfectly with creamy pasta dishes, seafood, and roasted chicken, making it a great wine for any occasion.

About the Winery

Trinity Hill

Located in New Zealand, the Trinity Hill winery is an iconic landmark that has been expertly crafting wines for the past two decades. This winery understands the diverse tastes, preferences and budget constraints of the ultimate user. This is the exact reason why it offers three different ranges of wines to suit people’s taste and budget constraints.  This winery was formed in 1987, thanks to the efforts of expert winemakers John Hancock, Robert and Robyn Wilson. Within five years, the Trinity Hill winery became one of the most famous wine-making places in New Zealand.

The three ranges of wines produced by this winery are Hawkes Bay Range, Gimblett Gravels Range and Homage. The Hawkes Bay Range of wines is made from grapes grown on the vineyards of Hawkes Bay. The Gimblett Gravels Range of wines belongs to the premium category. It is made from grapes grown in the sprawling estates of Gimblett Estate. The Homage range of wines is the best of the three ranges. These high-quality, international-class wines are made only from Syrah grapes.

The Hawkes Bay vineyards are spread over 1.4 million hectares and it is the second biggest wine-producing region in New Zealand. More than 85% of the Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet grape varieties of New Zealand, is grown on the vineyards of Hawkes Bay. Trinity Hill’s grape harvest mostly comes from the Gimblett Gravels region. The Gimblett Estate, with its innovative gravel soils and micro-climatic conditions, is wonderful for creating full-bodied, aromatic and flavourful grapes. This is the main reason why this area is the prime red-wine producing area of Trinity Hill winery.

Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Syrah and Merlot are the commonly used grapes in the Hawkes Bay range of wines produced here. Chardonnay, Marsanne Viognier, Syrah and Tempranillo grapes are used for the Gimblett Gravels range of wines. The Homage range of wines contains extremely rare types of wines.
