About Bonterra Vineyards

Bonterra Wines is considered as America’s No. 1 brand when it comes to organic and biodynamic wines. At the Bonterra Vineyards, organic winemaking has been followed for 30 years, whereas biodynamic farming has been followed for 20 years now. With some expert winemakers at the helm of affairs, this label has been famous for creating fresh and balanced wines that are true representations of the character of their varietals.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel are the main varietals that are used for making the organic red wines. In contrast, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay are used for making the organic whites. For the biodynamic range of wines, Grenache is one of the commonly used varietals. The single-vineyard McNab created by this brand is quite popular across the globe.

This wine is created from a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Syrah. Since these varietals are grown on the unique soil terroirs of the McNab Ranch, this wine comes with a special flavour and aroma. Produced on the Mendocino County appellation, this wine is a true representation of the high quality that Bonterra is famous for. Here, the fruits are hand-harvested and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks.

The Bulter is yet another single-vineyard wine that is highly popular among the wine critics. Located towards the northeast of Anderson Valley, the Mendocino County was a cherry farm once before it became a vineyard. While this beautiful mountainside ranch stretches across 900 acres, out of which 90 are dedicated to vines.

This wine is created by making a blend of 81% Syrah, 14% Petite Syrah, 4% Grenache and 1% Viognier. While planting these grapes, all the varietal parcels are kept separate until they mature naturally to form the perfect Cuvee. The ageing of these grapes happens in 100% French oak barrels to retain the natural flavour of the fruits.
