With the Formula 1® Races at Silverstone fast approaching (4th to the 7th July 2024), we are proud to be able to bring the amazing Ferrari Trento sparkling wines to our customers!
Since 2021 Ferrari Trento has been the Official Sparkling Wine of Formula 1® with a Jeroboam of Ferrari Trentodoc on the most iconic podiums in the world of sport.
Formula 1® has appointed Ferrari Trento as its celebratory drink partner, not only because it is one of the most-awarded producers of sparkling wines but also in recognition of its long and respected history. Similar to Formula 1®, the Italian family-owned winery based in Trentino, in the Italian Alps, is a global leader in its field, crafting its luxury Trentodoc wines for over a century to become known as Italy’s sparkling wine par excellence.
With an incredible heritage in motorsport, Formula 1® has been pioneering in its field, with over half a billion passionate fans supporting the world’s best drivers and constructors, who have become household names and cultural icons. An emblem of the “Italian Art of Living,” Ferrari Trento has also been appreciated by distinguished guests at major international events for decades.
About Ferrari Wines.
The legend of Ferrari began with a man, Giulio Ferrari, and his dream of creating a wine in Trentino capable of competing with the best French Champagnes.
Giulio was a pioneer; it was he who was the first to realise the extraordinary vocation of his area, and it was he who first made substantial plantings of Chardonnay in Italy. He started to produce a few highly select bottles, with an obsessive attention to quality.
As he had no children, Giulio Ferrari began looking for a successor to whom he could entrust his dream. Among many candidates he chose Bruno Lunelli, owner of a wine shop in Trento. Thanks to his passion and entrepreneurial talent, Bruno Lunelli succeeded in increasing production without ever compromising on quality.
Bruno Lunelli conveyed his passion to his sons; under the leadership of Franco, Gino and Mauro, Ferrari became the market leader in Italy and the nation’s celebratory wine par excellence. In this period, wines that were destined to go down in history were created: we are talking about Ferrari Rosé, Ferrari Perlé and Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore.
Today, the third generation of the Lunelli family is keeping the Ferrari dream alive. Marcello, Matteo, Camilla and Alessandro lead the company with the aim of combining innovation and tradition, taking Ferrari around the world as ambassadors of the Italian Art of Living.
