Tasting Note

As fresh as a sea breeze, with sea shells initially before grapefruit. A subtle hint of perfume makes their presence obvious on the nose. The palate is lip-smackingly taut, zesty and crisp on entry. Bright and fresh with tangy lemon- and grapefruit vivacity - that then makes way for riper, fleshier fruit – generous orange, apple- and stone fruit flavour. The wine then broadens out on the mid-palate with a creamier, fuller-bodied richness taking over before it tightens once more with a defined, dry and crisp tail.

Product Notes

Anthonij Rupert L'Ormarins Blanc de Blancs MCC is a refreshing and elegant sparkling wine produced through a traditional bottle fermentation method. This South African wine boasts a complex flavour profile, marrying rich apple and citrus notes with a subtle hint of biscuity aroma. The L'Ormarins vineyards in the Franschhoek Valley provide a perfect terroir for the Chardonnay grape varietal that is quintessential to this wine. L'Ormarins Blanc de Blancs MCC is named after the towering Drakenstein Mountains, referred to as the 'Golden Mountains of Africa', which in turn has given the classic wine label its unique golden hue. This versatile and delectable wine can be enjoyed on its own or paired beautifully with seafood or soft cheeses.
