Product Notes

Baron Edmond de Rothschild - Flechas de los Andes Gran Corte is an exceptional red wine blend from the Mendoza region of Argentina. It is made from a mixture of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot grape varietals that are grown in the vineyards located at the foothills of the Andes. This wine is a tribute to Baron Edmond de Rothschild's visionary investment in the region that began in 1999. It is a deep and complex wine with rich aromas of dark fruit, spices, tobacco and leather. The palate is full-bodied, with robust tannins and a long, elegant finish. Baron Edmond de Rothschild - Flechas de los Andes Gran Corte is a truly exceptional wine that represents the pinnacle of Argentine winemaking.

Tasting Notes

Deep plum and blueberry notes are complemented by smokey tannins and a lingering spicy finish.

About the Winery

Baron Edmond de Rothschild - Flechas de los Andes

Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild have been on the compagnie vinicole helm since 1997, which continues to expand. Excellence is the key thing that can be noted in all the properties, and this is reflected in the wines showing off the environmental aspects, tradition, and craftsmanship.

This is the best way that they pay tribute to the pioneer Baron Edmond de Rothschild and the work he did. Baron Edmond de Rothschild is the father of Benjamin de Rothschild. The company’s history dates to 1973 when baron Edmond bought chateau Clarke. Chateau Clarke was a cru bourgeois estate that was not popular at the time. Baron Edmond was convinced that the lands had outstanding properties and therefore aimed to ensure the property would stand out in the region.

The same goals echoed by the pioneer are shared by Benjamin de Rothschild. this is to cement and fulfil his intuition making sure that all resources that are needed to reveal the terroirs quintessence are provided to help enhance their character even further.

The main thing that Benjamin focused on was to increase the international presence of Compagnie vinicole and develop the best foreign terroirs. Benjamin de Rothschild has created great wines and explored new worlds to experience unique adventures. Through this, he learned about local cultures and the time-honoured practices used. Compagnie vinicole has been active in New Zealand and South Africa for years.

In Argentina, Laurent Dassault and Benjamin de Rothschild created Flexas de los Andes. This is something they worked on from the ground up, and it was situated in Argentina’s Uco valley. This area is one of the most spectacular places in South America, with glimmering glaciers, fertile plains, windswept plateaus, stunning papas, virgin ranges, and forests forming some spectacular landscapes. The other magnificent thing in the area is the vineyards stretching across the imperial Andes mountains foothills.
