Product Notes

Matetic Vineyards EQ Pinot Noir Granite is a stunning dark ruby red wine with enticing aromas of raspberry, cherry, and hints of vanilla. This wine is made exclusively from handpicked grapes grown in the San Antonio Valley in Chilean Patagonia. The grapes are fermented using the traditional Burgundian techniques and aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. The granite terroir of the vineyards gives this Pinot Noir its distinctive minerality and complexity, making it an excellent wine to pair with spicy and savory dishes. On the palate, the wine reveals a rich texture, balanced acidity, and a long, lingering finish. Matetic Vineyards EQ Pinot Noir Granite is a true expression of the exceptional quality of wines made in this remote and beautiful region.

About the Winery

Matetic Vineyards

In 1892, Jorge Matetic-Celtinja came to Punta Arenas by travelling from Fiume, an ancient port in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It is known as Rijeka in Croatia of today’s time. He became the first generation of his family to reside in Chile. The origin of Matetic Vineyards started in 1999 when the first vineyards got planted and harvested in the Rosario Valley. The place, situated in a location surrounded by the coastal valleys of San Antonio and Casablanca, became the pioneer of producing cool-climate and high-quality wines.
