Tasting Note

Lustrous deep crimson. Deep red- and dark-fruit nose with hints of dark spice. Savoury rather than sweet or ripe on the nose, notwithstanding this is from the hot and torrid 2017 vintage. Hint of earth and dried moss. Lush red and dark fruit with a muscular structure that is completely integrated with the fruit. Hedonistic, long, and with loads of (international) appeal. Great fun to drink.

Product Notes

Querciabella Turpino Toscana is a unique blend of Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot harvested from the vineyards at the heart of Tuscany, Italy. The grapes are hand-picked, fermented in wooden vats, and aged in French oak barrels for 18 to 20 months. This beautiful wine offers a deep ruby red color, with aromas of black fruits, spices, and tobacco on the nose. On the palate, it has a full-bodied flavor profile with a good tannin structure and a long, lingering finish. Querciabella Turpino Toscana is a perfect wine to pair with grilled meats, stews, or hard cheeses and will complement any special occasion or romantic dinner.

About the Winery

Querciabella

The history and story of Querciabella began in 1974 when wine lover and industrial entrepreneur, Giuseppe (Pepito) Castiglioni, purchased a single hectare of land on a hillside in Tuscany. He poured all his dreams and aspirations into the plot, expanding it significantly and increasing its fame. Giuseppe wishes to produce rich and elegant wines from grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Burgundy, Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Blanc, and Bordeaux. It was what set the basis for the establishment and growth of Querciabella.
