Product Notes

Black Stallion Estate Winery's Bucephalus Red Blend is a rich and full-bodied wine that is a blend of five different varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. The wine is named after the legendary horse of Alexander the Great, Bucephalus, which is fitting as this wine is just as revered and esteemed. The Black Stallion Estate Winery hand-selects the grapes for this blend from their finest vineyards to ensure optimal ripeness and flavor. The resulting wine is deep and dark in color with aromas of black cherry, plum, and baking spices. On the palate, the Bucephalus Red Blend is full-bodied with flavors of blackberry, cassis, and hints of leather and tobacco. The long finish leaves a lasting impression of complex flavors and tannins.

About the Winery

Black Stallion Estate Winery

If you want to taste the best of the Napa Valley’s diverse wine-growing appellations, you will have to taste the Black Stallion Wines.  Due to its rich history and culture, this winery is regarded as one of the most distinguished and respected among all the wineries in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. The wines are handcrafted with great precision and expertise here.  It is also one of the most-loved brands that are manufactured by the Delicato Family Vineyards.

At the Black Stallion Estate Winery, you can get to taste balanced, exquisite wines because a team of expert winemakers works dedicatedly to mix traditional methods and innovative modern technology in the process of winemaking. Only those grapes that are grown in the premiere vine regions of Napa Valley are chosen for crafting the wines here.

The Cabernet Sauvignon is the flagship varietal of the Black Stallion Estate Winery. However, other varietals are also used for making premium quality of wines that are classified into three broad categories – Prestige Wines, Limited Release Wines and Heritage Wines.

Apart from Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery also cultivates some of the best quality of grape varietals such as Zinfandel, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Petite Sarah and a unique red blend that is exclusively grown in the Napa Valley.  These are the varietals used for crafting the brand’s highly flavoured and loved red wines.

For the white wines, the winery uses the highest quality of varietals such as the Albarino, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and soft and flavoured Chardonnay along with a unique, sweet-flavoured white blend that is exclusively grown here.

You can visit the sprawling Black Stallion Estate Winery for a great wine-tasting experience and take a tour around the place to understand first-hand information about the heritage of the place and the winemaking process followed here.  This way,  you can appreciate their wines better than before.
