Tasting Note

Typical ruby red colour, which has a tendency to become garnet red as the wine ages. The nose has an intense aroma of violets and an elegance that is enhanced over time. On the palate the wine displays relatively dry and harmonious notes, while also being slightly tannic, with a flavour that becomes increasingly velvety over time.

Product Notes

Castellare di Castellina Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is a premium red wine from the Tuscan region of Italy. Produced by the Castellare di Castellina winery, this wine is made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, with small amounts of Canaiolo and Colorino added to enhance its complexity and depth. The wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels, which contributes to its rich aromas of black cherry, dried herbs, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with firm tannins and a long finish. This Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG pairs perfectly with grilled meats, game, and hearty stews.

About the Winery

Castellare di Castellina

This is a Tuscan winery and Castellare di Castellina is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. Paolo Panerai, a Milanese publisher acquired the estate in the 1970s because he was passionate about the region. With attention and great care, he led to the creation of the site.
