Tasting Note

On the nose, this single vineyard Chardonnay reveals aromas of lime leaf, sea spray, and lemongrass, as well as a subtle smokiness. The palate is energetic with real tension and balance. Rich textured is coupled with mouth-watering acidity and a long, layered finish.

Product Notes

Crystallum Ferrum Chardonnay is a sophisticated and elegant wine that showcases the best of South African winemaking. Made from carefully selected Chardonnay grapes grown in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, this wine exudes purity and finesse. With a pale straw color and a delicate aroma of lemon, pear, and vanilla, Crystallum Ferrum Chardonnay captivates the senses from the first sip. The palate is rich and creamy, with flavors of ripe apple, citrus, and a hint of oak. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lasting impression of luxury and refinement. Enjoy this exceptional wine with creamy pasta dishes, seafood, or on its own as a special treat.

About the Winery

Crystallum

More often than not, the passion for wines will bring you back into the wine industry, regardless of how distant you are from the same. This is what happened with the Finlayson brothers in South Africa as well. Though they belonged to the third generation of the famous Finlayson winemakers in this area, they weren’t involved in the family’s winemaking business forever, like most other kids. While Andrew went on to study architecture, Peter-Allan pursued his studies in philosophy and economics at the Stellenbosch University. Though they studied completely different subjects, their love for winemaking united them.
