Product Notes

Domaine Lafage Maury Grenat is a French fortified wine that hails from the Maury region of Roussillon in southern France. This wine is made using old vine Grenache grapes, which are grown in the rugged, rocky soils of the region. The result is a rich, intense wine with aromas of dried fruit, figs, and raisins. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with flavors of dark berries, spice, and licorice. It has a velvety texture and a long, smooth finish. The wine is aged in oak barrels for one year, adding layers of complexity to its already rich and intense character. It pairs well with rich, hearty dishes, dark chocolate, and cheese.

About the Winery

Domaine Lafage

Located in Perpignan, France, the Domaine Lafage Wine brand was set up by Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage. Their premium wines are made from grapes cultivated across 160 hectares of vineyards located near the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains. The warm, dry climate of these vineyards plays a very important role in the full-flavoured quality of the grapes. The climate, soil quality and the passion of the passion of the farmers make this region a haven for growing grape varietals such as Chardonnay, Grenache, Rousanne, Marsanne, Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan.
