Tasting Note

Mid cherry red. Sweet and red-fruited and intoxicating on the nose. Floral and has a Chambolle perfume but also a floral quality. Silky and sweet in its tannins, very gentle but with great depth of fruit. Long too.

Product Notes

Domaine Taupenot-Merme Gevrey-Chambertin is a red wine made in the Burgundy region of France. It is crafted by Taupenot-Merme, a family-owned winery that has been producing premium quality wines for over two centuries. The grapes used to make this wine are grown on the vineyards situated on limestone and clay soils, which is a perfect terroir for creating the classic Burgundy-style wine. It features notes of red and black fruit, spices, and smokiness, with a long and satisfying finish. This wine pairs well with red meat, poultry, and game dishes. It is a perfect choice for those who are looking for a rich, full-bodied, and elegant wine.

About the Winery

The winery remains located in the middle of the district of Côte de Beaune in the commune or village of Morey-Saint-Denis. Since its establishment, the Burgundian wine estate has produced wines of the highest quality and standard.
