Product Notes

Fèlsina Berardenga Colonia Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is a fine red wine that comes from the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany, Italy. The wine is made from a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera grapes, which are grown on the estate's vineyard. The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels before being bottled. It has an intense ruby red color and aromas of ripe red fruits, tobacco, and spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a complex structure, bright acidity, and firm tannins. It has a long finish with notes of vanilla and balsamic. This wine is perfect to be paired with roasted meat, stews, or aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Fèlsina Berardenga

Italian wines have always enjoyed popularity all over the world. However, during the 1960s, the Italian wine market was struggling a bit. It was during this time that Domenico Poggiali chose to set up his brand Felsina in Castelnuovo Berardebenga in Italy. Felsina means the Land of the Light and Poggiali started this brand to represent the richness of the Italian terroir.
