Tasting Note

The 'Fontalloro' is deep ruby in colour. On the nose intense aromas of blackberries and sour cherries marry with savoury notes of spice and tobacco. The palate is powerful and concentrated with ripe tannins, great structure and tremendous length on the finish.

Product Notes

Fèlsina Berardenga Fontalloro is a premium red wine made from Sangiovese grapes, grown on one of the finest vineyards in Tuscany's Chianti Classico region. This wine expresses the essence of its terroir, with deep roots in the ancient soils of San Giusto a Rentennano. The result is an earthy yet elegant wine, with aromas of red and dark fruits, bright acidity, and firm tannins, making it an ideal match for meat, pasta, and cheeses. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18-24 months, adding complexity and depth to its flavor profile. Fèlsina Berardenga Fontalloro is a perfect choice for special occasions, and for those who appreciate the best that Italian wines have to offer.

About the Winery

Fèlsina Berardenga

Italian wines have always enjoyed popularity all over the world. However, during the 1960s, the Italian wine market was struggling a bit. It was during this time that Domenico Poggiali chose to set up his brand Felsina in Castelnuovo Berardebenga in Italy. Felsina means the Land of the Light and Poggiali started this brand to represent the richness of the Italian terroir.
