Antonelli San Marco

Antonelli San Marco is a historic family-owned estate located in the heart of Montefalco, Umbria, a region often described as the “green heart” of Italy. The estate dates back to the late 19th century when it was purchased by Francesco Antonelli, a lawyer from Spoleto with a passion for agriculture and winemaking. Today, the winery remains under the stewardship of the Antonelli family, who continue to uphold the estate’s legacy of quality and respect for the land.

Covering approximately 170 hectares, of which 40 are dedicated to vineyards, Antonelli San Marco is entirely organic and self-sufficient. The estate’s philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach to viticulture, combining traditional methods with modern precision. Its vineyards lie on rolling hills of clay and limestone, ideal for native Umbrian varieties.

The winery is best known for its Sagrantino di Montefalco, a powerful red made from the region’s flagship grape, as well as Montefalco Rosso, Trebbiano Spoletino, and Grechetto. Each wine reflects the authenticity of Umbria’s terroir—structured, expressive, and deeply connected to place.
