Tasting Note

This wine has an expressive, floral, and fruit-driven nose with aromas of white peach and nectarine, as well as mealy notes of cashew nuts and blanched almonds. The palate is smooth, fresh and focused, framed by refreshing acidity and an elegant, persistent finish.

Product Notes

Ata Rangi's Potiki Chardonnay is a stunning example of New Zealand winemaking excellence. This elegant white wine is crafted from handpicked grapes sourced from the Martinborough region, renowned for its cool climate and limestone-rich soils. The Potiki Chardonnay showcases delicate aromas of white peach, nectarine, and subtle hints of vanilla, leading to a beautifully balanced palate with a creamy texture and vibrant acidity. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, adding layers of complexity and a smooth, lingering finish. With its impeccable quality and impeccable craftsmanship, Ata Rangi's Potiki Chardonnay is a true standout in the world of Chardonnay wines.

About the Winery

Ata Rangi

In the local dialect of New Zealand, Ata Rangi means “new beginning.” That’s exactly what Clive Paton had in mind when he established the Ata Rangi wine brand in the year 1980, in the small village of Martinborough.  Soon, he went on to become one of the pioneer winemakers not only in this village but in New Zealand.  Along with his wife and expert team of winemakers, Paton ensures that he crafts exotic wines, even as he goes by his principle of minimum intervention.
