Product Notes

Bachelder Wismer-Foxcroft Gamay is a delightful red wine that exudes elegance and finesse. Made from Gamay grapes sourced from the Wismer-Foxcroft vineyard in the Niagara Peninsula, this wine showcases the unique terroir of the region. The nose is filled with bright red fruit aromas, such as cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, complemented by subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is vibrant and refreshing, with a perfect balance of acidity and smooth tannins. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lingering impression of ripe fruit and a hint of spice. This wine is perfect for any occasion and pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. Bachelder Wismer-Foxcroft Gamay is a true expression of Ontario's winemaking excellence.

About the Winery

Bachelder

Thomas Bachelder, the reputed winemaker, is known for the Bachelder Project. As part of this project, he wanted to explore the cultivation of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the world’s three unique cold-climate regions – Oregon, Niagara and Burgundy. Therefore, he set up cellars in all these three places and creates wines that are true representations of the grapes grown on the specific soil and climate of these three places.
