Tasting Note

In the glass it is pale gold with a green tinge. The nose runs to citrus and pear, white flowers and peach, with a delicate note of vanilla from the barrel. The palate is where the altitude pays off: bright, cool-climate acidity underneath ripe orchard and tropical fruit, a creamy edge from time on the lees, and a clean, mineral-tinged finish.

Product Notes

Bodega Catena Zapata Catena Chardonnay is a premium white wine hailing from the high-altitude Mendoza region of Argentina. It is crafted by the renowned Catena family, who have been producing exceptional wines since 1902. This chardonnay is fermented in new French oak barrels for 10 months, imparting a rich and creamy texture to the wine. It boasts a vibrant golden hue and aromas of ripe tropical fruits, vanilla, and a hint of floral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a well-balanced acidity and a long finish. A perfect pairing for grilled fish, roast chicken, or creamy pasta dishes, this wine is a true delight for the palate.
