About Bodega Ribera del Cuarzo

A family-inspired story that begins in 1883, when Melchor Concha y Toro, great-grandfather of Felipe Menendez, planted his first vineyard in the region of Pirque, Chile. Felipe grew up among vineyards, lending to his love for wine.

He was then long trained by Dr. Nicolas Catena, working at Catena Zapata Winery for over 12 years. Felipe then decided to commit to his vision of creating a winery in the vast, remote and unique Patagonian terroir. He travelled on a decade-long quest, searching for the perfect place to craft a distinctive wine.
