About Bodegas Fulcro
Bodegas Fulcro is a small, artisanal winery based in the Rías Baixas region of Galicia, in northwestern Spain. It is owned and operated by winemaker Manuel Moldes, who is deeply committed to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Salnés Valley. With a focus on minimal intervention and sustainable practices, Fulcro is part of a new wave of Galician producers crafting expressive, elegant wines from native grape varieties.
The winery was founded in the early 2000s as a personal project by Moldes, who left behind a career in engineering to pursue his passion for winemaking. Over the years, Bodegas Fulcro has gained a reputation for producing small-batch, high-quality Albariño wines, often from old vines and granite soils. The approach in the vineyard and winery is hands-off, with spontaneous fermentation, no additives, and aging in neutral vessels like used oak or stainless steel to preserve purity and freshness.
Bodegas Fulcro’s wines are known for their precision, minerality, and depth. The flagship offerings include various single-vineyard Albariños that showcase the nuances of specific plots. These wines are often described as having Burgundian finesse, combining vibrant acidity with saline complexity—hallmarks of top-tier wines from the Rías Baixas.
