Product Notes

Capensis Silene Chardonnay is a luxurious and elegant white wine that hails from the Western Cape region of South Africa. This exquisite wine is made from handpicked Chardonnay grapes, carefully selected from the finest vineyards in the region. The Capensis Silene Chardonnay is rich and complex, with notes of ripe peach, citrus, and subtle hints of vanilla and oak. Its creamy texture and well-balanced acidity make it the perfect pairing for a wide range of dishes, from roasted chicken to creamy pasta dishes. This wine is sure to impress even the most discerning wine connoisseurs with its exceptional quality and impeccable taste.

About the Winery

Capensis

Capensis, meaning “from the Cape” in Latin, is a boutique South African winery dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay. Established in 2013 by Barbara Banke of Jackson Family Wines in partnership with the late Graham Beck’s estate, Capensis set out to showcase the world-class potential of Chardonnay from the Western Cape. The heart of the operation is the high-altitude Fijnbosch vineyard in the Banghoek Valley of Stellenbosch, where 8 hectares of vines grow on steep, well-drained clay soils.
