Tasting Note

This high-altitude Sauvignon Blanc entices with its luminous pale, watery yellow colour. The aromatic nose leaps from the glass with a kaleidoscope of nuances including Cape gooseberry, kiwifruit, tropical fruit including granadilla, and pineapple. The palate is alive with all these aromas, including a sensation of slight sherbet sweetness to offset the refreshing lemony-lime green apple finish.

Product Notes

Cederberg Sauvignon Blanc is an elegantly crafted white wine from the prestigious Cederberg Private Cellar in South Africa. This wine is made from high altitude Sauvignon Blanc grapes that are grown in the extreme climatic conditions of the Cederberg Mountains. The result is a crisp and refreshing wine with a complex character on the palate. The aroma is filled with notes of tropical fruits, gooseberry, and citrus that will enchant your senses. The taste of the wine is well-balanced with a hint of minerality and a long finish. Cederberg Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with white meat and seafood. It is a must-try for anyone who appreciates a well-made Sauvignon Blanc.

About the Winery

Cederberg

The history of South Africa’s Cederberg Wines dates back to as early as 1893. It was during this time that the Nieuwoudt family moved to the farm area of Dwarsrivier, today known as the Cederberg Private Cellar and Sanddrif Holiday Resort. Though the farm is quite huge, only around 66 hectares are used for cultivation to protect flora and fauna here. Currently, the fifth generation of the Nieuwoudt family manages the Cederberg wine brand, which is regarded as one of the best high-altitude wines from South Africa.
