About Château de Nalys
Château de Nalys is a prestigious wine estate located in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in France’s southern Rhône Valley. Its history stretches back to the 16th century, when the property was first established, and over the centuries it became known for producing wines of depth and character. The estate takes its name from the Nalys family, early owners who played a key role in developing the vineyards and shaping the estate’s reputation.
In 1975, Château de Nalys entered a new chapter when it was acquired by the Duvos family, who invested in modernising winemaking techniques while preserving the estate’s traditions. The property covers more than 50 hectares, planted with all 13 grape varieties permitted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, as well as rarer white grapes that contribute to its distinctive white wines.
In 2017, the renowned Guigal family purchased Château de Nalys, bringing their expertise and meticulous attention to detail to the estate. Since then, significant investment has gone into vineyard care, cellar technology, and elevating quality. Today, Château de Nalys stands as one of the appellation’s most respected names, producing both red and white Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines that balance tradition with refined elegance.
