Chateau Durfort-Vivens is a highly renowned and acclaimed winery located in the appellation and commune of Margaux in the notable wine region of Bordeaux in France. The history and origin of the wine estate date and go back to the 12th century. At that time, the property had been under the ownership and management of the influential and prominent Durfort de Duras family. It continued to be so for about seven centuries. The family also possessed a nearby winery named Château Lamothe, later called Château Margaux.
