DAOU

Founded in 2007 by brothers Georges and Daniel Daou, the winery was born from their shared dream of producing world-class Bordeaux-style wines in the heart of California’s Central Coast. Originally from Lebanon and raised in France, the Daou brothers brought both entrepreneurial spirit and Old World sensibility to their winemaking journey.

Daniel Daou serves as the head winemaker and is widely respected for crafting powerful, elegant Cabernet Sauvignons that have helped raise Paso Robles’ profile on the global wine stage. Georges Daou leads brand vision and hospitality, curating a luxury experience that complements their wines.

In 2023, Australian wine giant Treasury Wine Estates acquired DAOU for $900 million, with the brothers staying on in leadership roles to preserve the winery’s identity and legacy.

The estate itself spans roughly 400 acres of vineyards and offers breathtaking views from its hilltop tasting room at 2,200 feet elevation. Known for its rich soils and cooling marine influence, the location provides ideal conditions for growing premium grapes and delivering bold, structured wines that have become synonymous with the DAOU name.
