Tasting Note

Deeply mineral with fabulous precise dark fruit aromas that unfurl to reveal layers of smoke, stones and violets, the volcanic soils evident on the nose but also the palate as a ripe but mineral tannic framework supports notes of olive, dark berry fruit, dark cherry and chocolate. There’s a layer of mid palate richness here that buffers the powerful mineral side beautifully while the finish is long and nuanced. Cool, precise, dark and mineral – this is another top release from di Costanzo, and an excellent successor to the stunning 2013 and 2014 releases

Product Notes

Di Costanzo Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that offers a multi-layered, complex tasting experience. Hailing from the Farella Vineyard in Napa Valley, California, the wine is made from a blend of hand-picked Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at an elevation of 500 feet. The wine boasts of a deep, rich garnet color and aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, and dark chocolate. The taste is a medley of flavors, including dark fruit, French oak, and a touch of minerality that provides a long-lasting finish. With a medium-to-full body and soft tannins, it’s a wine that pairs well with a variety of hearty dishes including grilled steak, roasted lamb, or aged cheese. Overall, Di Costanzo Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a fine example of Napa Valley’s signature style and a wine worthy of any wine enthusiast’s collection.
