Tasting Note

The wines that come from these parcels are profound and serious, with spicy, liquorice notes and chewy tannins which give them extraordinary cellaring capacity. Powerful, full-bodied structure with fine tannins, long finish, and aromas of liquorice, cinnamon, and black berries.

Product Notes

Domaine Santa Duc Gigondas Les Hautes Garrigues is a rich and complex wine from the renowned Gigondas appellation in the southern Rhône Valley of France. This exceptional red blend is crafted from old vines of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, resulting in a wine of outstanding depth and intensity. The Les Hautes Garrigues vineyard is known for its stony soils and sun-kissed slopes, producing grapes that are concentrated and full of flavor. The wine itself is a bold and robust expression of the terroir, with notes of dark fruit, spice, and earth, supported by firm tannins and a long, savory finish. Domaine Santa Duc Gigondas Les Hautes Garrigues is a truly special wine that showcases the best of the Gigondas region.

About the Winery

Domaine Santa Duc

Domaine Santa Duc is one of the most respected estates in the southern Rhône Valley, located in Gigondas, just northeast of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The domaine was founded in 1874 and has been run by the Gras family for six generations. Since the late 1980s, it has been under the guidance of Yves Gras, who transformed Santa Duc into a benchmark for terroir-driven, expressive Rhône wines. In recent years, Yves’s son Benjamin Gras has joined the estate, bringing a new generation’s perspective while maintaining the family’s deep respect for tradition and nature.
