About Domaines Lupier

Domaines Lupier is a small but remarkable winery nestled in San Martín de Unx, Navarra, Spain. It was founded around 2006–2008 by Enrique Basarte and Elisa Ucar, who set out with a clear goal: to rescue old Garnacha vines growing on the steep limestone and clay slopes of the region. Over time, they carefully gathered 27 small vineyard plots, many planted over a century ago, all organically farmed without irrigation at elevations between 400 and 750 meters.

In late 2023, the acclaimed Spanish winemaker Raúl Pérez took over the estate. He was drawn to Lupier because of its unique limestone soils and expressive Garnacha wines. While Enrique and Elisa made the 2018 and 2019 vintages, Raúl oversaw the final blends and releases, signaling an exciting new chapter for the winery.

Domaines Lupier focuses on two main wines. El Terroir is an estate blend from old vines, fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral French oak, known for its finesse and mineral character. La Dama, their flagship, comes from the highest vineyards and is elegant, structured, and highly regarded.

With Raúl Pérez at the helm, Domaines Lupier’s future looks bright, blending deep tradition with fresh vision from one of Spain’s finest winemakers.
