Fossil Point Winery takes its name from a dramatic headland on California’s Central Coast, where rugged cliffs meet the Pacific Ocean. Just inland, in the cool-climate Edna Valley of San Luis Obispo County, Fossil Point crafts wines that reflect the region’s unique coastal terroir. The proximity to the ocean brings foggy mornings, breezy afternoons, and a long growing season that allows grapes to ripen slowly, developing freshness and balance.

The winery is owned and operated by Corbett Vineyards LLC, which has been producing wine under the Fossil Point label since 2010. Their philosophy is rooted in sustainability and authenticity—favoring gentle, small-batch winemaking techniques that allow the character of the vineyards to shine. Native yeast fermentations, minimal intervention, and careful timing are central to their approach, resulting in expressive wines that speak of place rather than process.

Fossil Point specializes in classic Central Coast varietals, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Rosé, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
