About GlenWood Vineyards

Founded in 1984, GlenWood Vineyards is a boutique, family-owned wine estate located in the scenic Robertsvlei Valley, just outside Franschhoek in South Africa's Western Cape. The 52-hectare property was established by Alastair Wood, who transformed previously undeveloped farmland into one of the region's most respected premium wine producers. Today, the estate is managed by Wood together with long-serving General Manager and Cellar Master DP Burger, while winemaker Natasha Pretorius oversees production.

Surrounded by indigenous fynbos and mountain scenery, GlenWood is recognised for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and has earned WWF Conservation Champion status. Chardonnay is the estate's flagship variety, consistently receiving critical acclaim, including multiple five-star ratings in the Platter's Wine Guide. The portfolio also includes Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Merlot, Shiraz (Syrah), and limited-production premium wines under the Grand Duc and Vigneron's Selection labels. All wines are vegan-friendly and combine elegant fruit expression with the distinctive freshness and minerality of the Franschhoek terroir, making GlenWood one of the Cape's standout boutique wineries
