Tasting Note

A pure tropical fruit nose of passionfruit and gooseberry gives way to nuances of blackcurrant, grapefruit and underlying flinty aromas. The palate is concentrated and enticing, coupled with the classic Isabel “Old Vine” mineral tones, making this wine refreshing and traditional in style. A creamy mid palate and balanced acidity gives the wine weight and length, and makes it a great accompaniment to freshly caught fish or mussels.

Product Notes

Isabel Estate Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious wine, made from the highest quality grapes grown in the heart of New Zealand's Marlborough region. This elegant wine offers a complex and subtle flavor profile, with delicate aromas of exotic fruit and green pepper, mixed with hints of white peach, citrus, and herbaceous notes. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and refreshing, with a bright acidity that balances the juicy fruit flavors, creating a smooth and silky finish. This wine pairs perfectly with seafood, shellfish, poultry dishes, and sharp cheeses, and is perfect for any occasion, from a casual dinner party to a summer picnic. With its complexity and elegance, Isabel Estate Sauvignon Blanc is a wine to savour and enjoy.

About the Winery

Isabel Estate

The story of Isabel Estate began in 1980 when its founder Mike Tiller flew his plane over a particular plot of land located in the village of Wairau in Marlborough. During the flight, Mike noticed and discovered an area. It later proved exceedingly beneficial and precious to him. It was a place having a unique microclimate and fertile soil. The land successfully attracted Mike’s attention and interest every time he flew over it on his way to Blenheim Airport.
