About Louis Latour
Louis Latour Winery is one of Burgundy’s most historic and respected family-owned wine estates, renowned for its tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation. Founded in 1797, the house has been passed down through eleven generations of the Latour family, making it one of the oldest continuously run family wineries in France. Today, it is led by Louis-Fabrice Latour, who continues to uphold the family’s dedication to quality and authenticity.
The winery is based in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy’s Côte d’Or, where it owns over 50 hectares of vineyards, including prestigious holdings in Corton, Aloxe-Corton, and Chassagne-Montrachet. Louis Latour is especially celebrated for its Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, a benchmark Chardonnay that showcases the region’s elegant minerality and depth.
While deeply rooted in Burgundy, the estate has also expanded its vision beyond traditional boundaries. In the Ardèche, Latour produces approachable Chardonnay wines, and in Beaujolais, it crafts expressive Gamay bottlings. This blend of heritage and forward thinking has helped the house remain relevant in a changing wine world.
Combining centuries-old savoir-faire with sustainable vineyard practices, Louis Latour continues to embody the essence of Burgundian excellence—where respect for terroir, family legacy, and fine craftsmanship define every bottle.
