Tasting Note

It is not a huge buttery monster, but it is not supposed to be. Tight, mineral on the nose with some reduction that soon blows off, this wine is precise, elegant, and savoury.

Product Notes

Lukas Van Loggerenberg is a rising star of the South African wine scene, and his Break a Leg Chardonnay is a testament to his skill as a winemaker. Made from grapes grown on a small, sustainably farmed vineyard outside the town of Stellenbosch, this wine is a beautifully balanced expression of the Chardonnay grape. The nose is full of ripe stone fruit and creamy vanilla, while on the palate there's a lovely, fresh acidity that keeps the wine lively and refreshing. With its crisp, clean finish, this is a perfect wine to pair with fresh seafood or a light summer salad.
