Tasting Note

Ruby red tending to garnet. The nose reveals the great potential of this DOC wine: the first impression is of distinctive mineral notes, almost smoky, followed by fruiter, more floral nuances, yet always complex. Explosive in the palate while remaining well-balanced, it is enriched by aromas of chocolate and mint with a long-lasting spicy finish.

Product Notes

Li Veli Pezzo Morgana Salice Salentino DOC Riserva is a rich and complex red wine from the Puglia region of Italy. Made from a blend of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes, this wine is aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels, resulting in a deep and velvety texture. The wine's bouquet is intense, with notes of dark fruits, spices, and toasted oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a smooth and round mouthfeel, balanced by refreshing acidity and fine tannins. This wine is perfect for pairing with hearty dishes like grilled meats, pasta with tomato-based sauces, or aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Masseria Li Veli

The Masseria Li Veli Winery is located on the historic Messapian area on the Salento Plains of Italy. It was during 1858 that famous Italian economist Antonio de Viti de Marco discovered this place. His sole objective was to develop this area into a state-of-the-art cellar, which would make Italy proud. During 1999, the Falvo family, which had a wide experience in the business of wine-making, developed an interest in these vineyards and took control over the place. Thanks to the family’s single-minded determination and expertise, the place was renovated and it started a new wine culture in the region of Apulia.
