Tasting Note

Colour - Deep & shiny eggplant with magenta on the rim. Aroma - Notes of wet clay, coconut shavings, milk chocolate, tomato stems, fresh basil, vanilla extract and raspberry jam. Taste - Fresh and silky entrance, lifted by granular and integrated tannins in a finish on acidity with notes of Griotte de Kleparov, Toasted Brioche, and Strawberry fruit paste.

Product Notes

Maxville Cabernet Franc is a full-bodied red wine with characteristics of deep blackberries, dark cherries, and hints of spiced oak. Known for its subtle and smooth tannins, this wine is perfect for those who are new to red wines or enjoy a milder taste. Grown on Maxville Vineyards in Napa Valley, California, the wine's terroir plays a significant role in its unique taste. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged in French oak barrels for 22 months, the wine's complexity and depth can be attributed to its careful crafting process. Maxville Cabernet Franc pairs well with roasted meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Maxville

The story of Maxville remains intricately knit with an area called Chiles Valley, located at an elevation or altitude of 1000 feet in Napa Valley. The region had formerly gotten known as “The High Valley.” Its name changed after Colonel Joseph Chiles came to California to settle down there in 1841. He came across the land after an extensive search starting from Monterey and Rutherford. The valley instantly appealed to him, making him want to spend the rest of his days there.
