About Musella

Musella is a historic estate located in the eastern part of the Valpolicella zone, near San Martino Buon Albergo, just outside Verona in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The estate sits within a large, organically farmed property that combines vineyards, woodland and agricultural land, benefiting from a favourable microclimate shaped by nearby hills and waterways. Its position in the Valpolicella DOC area makes it particularly suited to the cultivation of traditional local grape varieties.

The estate dates back several centuries, with records of agricultural activity on the site going back to at least the 16th century. In the 20th century, Musella was acquired by the Pasqua di Bisceglie family, who transformed it into a modern wine estate while preserving its historical identity. Today, the winery is run by Maddalena Pasqua di Bisceglie, who has played a key role in elevating its reputation through a strong focus on organic and biodynamic practices.

Musella is known for producing classic Valpolicella wines, including Amarone and Ripasso, with an emphasis on elegance, balance and terroir expression. The combination of historical heritage, environmentally conscious viticulture and refined winemaking defines its position as one of the more distinctive estates in the region.
