About Orma

Nestled in the prestigious Bolgheri region on the Tuscan coast, Orma is a boutique winery renowned for its elegant, expressive wines that capture the essence of the area’s unique terroir. Founded in 2004, Orma is owned by Antonio Moretti Cuseri, a prominent figure in Italian wine who also owns the acclaimed estates Tenuta Sette Ponti in Chianti and Poggio al Lupo in Maremma. The name “Orma,” meaning “footprint” in Italian, symbolizes the family’s enduring mark on the Bolgheri landscape.

The estate spans approximately 7.5 hectares, with 5.5 hectares under vine, located between the legendary properties of Sassicaia and Ornellaia. The vineyards benefit from well-drained pebble and clay soils and the moderating influence of coastal breezes, ideal conditions for producing wines of balance and depth.

Orma’s flagship wine, simply named Orma, is a refined Super Tuscan blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak to achieve structure and complexity. The winery also produces Passi di Orma, a Bolgheri DOC red with a vibrant, approachable style, and Bianco di Orma, a pure Vermentino showcasing the freshness of the Tuscan coast. Orma’s wines are admired for their precision, elegance, and unmistakable Bolgheri character.
