Tasting Note

The wine is mid to light garnet in colour. The nose is full of ripe dark and red fruit aromas, which combine with a delicate spiciness. The palate is full and rich complemented by good acidity and a velvety texture from the fine grained tannins. The finish is long with great persistence.

Product Notes

Poggiotondo Vigna delle Conchiglie Chianti Riserva is an exquisite Italian red wine that showcases the best of Tuscany's Sangiovese grapes. This wine is crafted from carefully selected vineyard sites that produce grapes with intense flavors and balanced acidity. The result is a bold and complex wine with rich aromas of dark cherries, blackberries, and spices. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of fruit, earth, and oak, with velvety tannins and a long, satisfying finish. Poggiotondo Vigna delle Conchiglie Chianti Riserva is a perfect pairing for grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and aged cheeses. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for further aging.

About the Winery

Poggiotondo

The history of the Italian wine label, Poggiotondo dates back to as early as 1968, when a passionate agriculturalist, Carlo Antonni bought a few estates of the historic noble family of Conti Guidi. These estates are now located in the Cerreto Guidi in the district of Medioevo, Florence Province. The Poggiotondo property is the place where Carlo’s family stays currently.
