Across everything we do at Radford Dale, we aim to create wines of complete individuality, always. Combining a keen pursuit of innovation and a healthy respect for tradition, we produce refined and often elegant wines, designed to be enjoyed as they have been throughout history; socially, gastronomically and festively.

We believe organic, regenerative farming is the future. A return in fact to the values surrounding the respect of nature. We choose to give our Estate wines a chance to express their distinct individuality, by working naturally in the vineyards, employing traditional hands-on methods, and manipulating things as little as possible in the cellar.

We've adopted organic practices in our winemaking for many years but it was only in 2020 that we received our first official Organic accreditation from EcoCert, marking the start of an exciting new journey, into a certified organic era for our Radford Dale Estate wines. Furthermore Radford Dale is proud to be a founding member of Organic Wines South Africa, an exciting new Association created in September 2024, and of which Alex Dale is the founding Chairperson, encompassing the core, established, certified-organic wine estates of South Africa.

Radford Dale is best known for its pioneering work on lighter-style reds wines in the Cape, for over 3 decades, focusing on cool climate, Elgin Pinot Noir and, uniquely in South Africa, establishing Gamay vineyards on three separate mountains. With its white wines, Radford Dale, since inception in 1994, has focused on producing age-worthy, mineral Helderberg Mountain Chenin Blancs, in Stellenbosch.

Radford Dale is a leader in regard to ecologically-minded practices relating to packaging materials, light-weight bottles and recycling, in regards to ethical trading and a decades-long focus on empowering its workforce, through education, career development and above-industry level salaries.
