About Stina

The beautiful Croatian island of Brač is renowned for its distinctive white stone, known locally as Stina, which inspired the name of this exceptional collection of Jako Vino wines. The Stina project began in 2009 when Jako Andabak invested in a historic cellar on the waterfront in Bol. Following extensive renovation, the cellar was transformed into a modern facility designed for both winemaking and tastings.

Significant investment was also made in restoring and developing the island’s vineyards, planted with indigenous varieties including Pošip and Vugava. Although viticulture has flourished on Brač for centuries—the vineyard at Stipančić dates back to the 15th century—many of the island’s vineyards required extensive restoration or replanting to revive their former potential.

Under the guidance of winemaker Rikard Petric, Stina celebrates these distinctive Croatian varieties through a range of vibrant, fruit-driven wines that capture the character, heritage and unique charm of Brač.
