Tasting Note

This wine is fruit-driven in style, exhibiting ripe peach with underlying citrus and fig characters. On the palate, these flavours are enhanced by a creamy texture and a delicate suggestion of oak. A medium-bodied Chardonnay that is styled for enjoyment upon release with or without food.

Product Notes

Villa Maria Private Bin Chardonnay is a premium wine that delivers a rich, complex and fruit-forward drinking experience. This Chardonnay comes from carefully selected vineyards in the Hawke’s Bay region of New Zealand and is crafted with a blend of modern and traditional winemaking techniques. It is made with handpicked grapes, gently pressed, and then barrel fermented and aged in oak to create a wine with a luscious golden color, aromas of ripe peaches, vanilla and smokey notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and creamy, with flavors of stone fruit, citrus and a hint of butterscotch. It has a satisfyingly long and crisp finish, making it perfect for pairing with seafood, poultry and creamy pasta dishes. Villa Maria Private Bin Chardonnay is a must-try for wine enthusiasts looking for a premium bottle to add to their collection. So, it can be a great choice for all types of wine lovers.

About the Winery

Villa Maria

Villa Maria is New Zealand’s most popular and most awarded winery today. George Fistonich was only 21 years old when he started this wine label. He got 5 acres of land in Mangere, Auckland, from his father, and set about to give wings to his winemaking passion. The very next year, he made his first wine from the grapes planted on this land, and he named the wine, Villa Maria.
