Tasting Note

Its bouquet is complex and intense. Floral scents, ranging from sweet violet to dog-rose immediately pervade the nose; fruity notes soon make their entrance, recalling blackcurrant and blueberry. Over time, the emphasis shifts to tertiary notes evoking nutmeg and black pepper, as well as cocoa powder. It closes with hints of noble tobacco and leather. The finish is long and harmonious.

Product Notes

Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is a red wine that is produced from Sangiovese grapes from the Chianti region of Tuscany, Italy. This wine is characterized by its intense ruby red color and complex aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, with notes of vanilla, tobacco, and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied, elegant, and velvety, with fine tannins and a long finish. This wine is aged for about 24 months in oak barrels, which gives it a great complexity and structure. It pairs well with rich meat dishes and aged cheeses, and is a great wine to enjoy with friends and family.

About the Winery

Frescobaldi

Frescobaldi is one of the most authentic Italian wines that you will find today because of its impressive 700-year-old history. This family played a vital role in the history of Florence city and has been crafting excellent Tuscan fine wines for a long time. Many centuries ago, the first Frescobaldi family members started as bankers, but then evolved to become the names behind some of the significant structures of Florence. The diversity of Tuscany is clearly visible in the Frescobaldi wine label. The family estates of Frescobaldi grow grapes and olives across Tuscany. Each and every terroir is given a lot of importance here; therefore, the product reflects the characteristics of the land where it is grown.
